Manchester City will keep fighting to the end – Hart.

Joe Hart insisted that, although the current EPL season is just eleven games to go but, Manchester City won’t give up yet in their bid to retain the title.

The resilient goal keeper saved a penalty from his England team-mate Frank Lampard as the defending champions came back and beat the blues 2-0 on sunday (24 February, 2013) to record their first league win for a month.

“Even if there is one game to go and we are 12 points behind, we won’t give up. We’ve got to keep fighting, we just have to keep going.” Hart told reporters.

Manchester City had gone three league games without a win before defeating Chelsea, and manager Roberto Mancini had criticized his players after the 3-1 defeat at Southampton, where Hart erred as Steven Davis scored the saints’ second goal.

The manager added that “they are under performed” at Southampton. That’s gone, there’s nothing we can do about that. We just have to focus on the remaining games and keep going.

Do you agree that Manchester City would still retain the EPL championship despite being 12 points away from the season leaders, Manchester United, and just eleven games to go?
