Samsung Galaxy S8 smartphone was launched in March 2017. The Galaxy S8 is samsungs next major phone and it packs an impressive set of features. There’s an iris scanner that can be used to unlock the phone and access secure folders. The S8 has a 5.8-inch screen. The S8+ has a 6.2-inch screen. You can charge the Galaxy S8 with a wireless charging pad. There’s also fast charging, which charges the S8 faster than normal. The Galaxy S8 comes with its own virtual reality software, powered by Facebook’s Oculus. The S8 has a heart rate sensor on the back. Samsung’s Bixby digital assistant lets you take photos of real-world objects and brings up relevant information like shopping links and nearby locations to visit.
Samsung says it created Bixby on the pillars of completeness, context awareness, cognitive and frictionless experience. The aim is to make sure you can do everything on the Galaxy S8 with just your voice, without touch. Once an app is compatible with Bixby, you will be able to use your voice to control and manage “almost every task” that particular app is capable of, and which are typically controlled using touch commands. Including the behaviours of the agent much more predictable. Bixby will integrate with several Samsung native apps including Camera, Contacts, Gallery, Messages and Settings. Samsung said this range will expand over time and it plans to eventually release a tool (in SDK) so third-party developers can add support for Bixby in their applications and services. Beyond that, Bixby will be rolled out to Samsung TVs, fridges and other smart appliances.
